Description Sometimes I am amazed what kind of pictures my clients make with my products. Here is the beautiful SanDa with her velvet Red Riding hood cape, lined

with high quality fake fur and satin bow. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to direct 8 wolfies to stay in place but it was so worth it!

Contact me here or on Facebook if you are interested in your own Red Riding Hood cape, or anything else!

NP. :3 Ikr! They are so pretty 8D Although as far as I know exercise wise they are way up there with the german shepherd. ;_; ..Working dog and all :/ I will gladly stick with the Eurasier.

Oh, perfect dog. I use to raise white Border Collies. They were so pretty and so fun. I bet I could keep up with one!

Oh my god Eurasiers! I pretty much love all spitz type dogs.

Haha, I'm not so sure you could. They can be very quick, and slippery! But I'm sure you have enough energy to keep running with one for a while.

Yes, I know right! They are so cute ;_; I absolutely adore them. And they don't need as much exercise as working dogs, since they were bred to be companion dogs. They are said to be intelligent, but very reserved to strangers (Which is like the ideal dog for me) So I've already decided I will probably get one, once I have the time. :3
I was doing some research looking for the ideal dog breed for me, but I've always wanted/needed a dog that was a tad bigger, and in the Spitz-looking family Samoyed or Eurasier is as big as it gets. x3 But Eurasiers are so unique with their fur and their personality. *could talk about this all day* x3

In fact, the white Shepherd isnt a Germen Shepherd. Its a breed of its own named Berger Blanc Suisse or Swiss Shepherd.

Tiffanois In reply to Sleipnir800 [2014-02-04 10:12:13 +0000 UTC]

I know it as a White German Shepherd.

SevenZee In reply to Sleipnir800 [2014-02-04 05:23:53 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty sure normal German Shepherds can be white.. I don't really see how a coat color will make a dog be called a different breed.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Sleipnir800 In reply to SevenZee [2014-02-04 09:37:16 +0000 UTC]

No, German Shepherds cant be white. Its not just the color, there are differences in conformation and interior. See here the differences in conformation: Swiss Shepherd upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… and German Shepherd www.hundeseite.de/hunderassen-…
And here is the wiki of both Shepherds: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Sh… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_S…
There are even black Shepherds, the Belgian Shepherd and the long haired Shepherd, the Old German Shepherd. All of them are different breeds by their own.

RIGHT in that white shepherd wiki it says "Other names: White german shepherd

It's 8 in the morning, please provide me the exact line where it says German Sheps can't be white.

Sleipnir800 In reply to SevenZee [2014-02-04 14:27:31 +0000 UTC]

Here some quote out of the wiki: White coats were made a disqualification in the German Shepherd Dog Club of Germany breed standard in 1933 after the breed club came under the control of the German Nazi party that took over all aspects of German society in February 1933 when Hitler declared a state of emergency . The German breed standard remained unchanged as German breeders repopulated the breed in the years after the conclusion of WWII.

Calling them white german shepherds is still not inaccurate.

CloverFlowers In reply to SevenZee [2014-02-04 05:55:30 +0000 UTC]

Wiki for the breed. Looks just like them: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berger_B…

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SevenZee In reply to CloverFlowers [2014-02-04 05:58:08 +0000 UTC]

And then theres this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Sh…

Im saying the coat color doesnt really identify them as that breed, because nobody in their right mind would make a separate breed of dogs just for their coat color. White shepherds can exist and are called exactly that, white german shepherds. So technically neither term is wrong.

CloverFlowers In reply to SevenZee [2014-02-04 06:28:34 +0000 UTC]

True, but there are other features in the breed display in this picture, that point to it being the Swiss Shepherd. If someone said that it must be the Swiss Shepherd just because it's white, that's not really liable.
Also, I just read in the details that the "White German Shepherd" is also called the "Berger Blanc Suisse". But here in this wiki it seems that the White variation is referred to as a "sub" breed or something. They don't consider it a German Shepherd, but a "White" German Shepherd. So perhaps all this about the variation of coats categorizing them as other breeds it's so off. Idk though..this just got more confusing. :T

SevenZee In reply to CloverFlowers [2014-02-04 06:32:35 +0000 UTC]

What other characteristics in this picture are pointing to that? Im really not seeing anything except maybe fluffier ears? But German Sheps are known to have that too.

Plus, the person claiming them to be Blanc's isnt really giving any details as to why they are that brred, other than saying "the white german shepherd is actually a breed of its own"

I have a dog who is pure bred shepherd, and his mother was pure white. As a result he got a mostly white coat with some tan/cream markings. His build looks relatively identical to these dogs, except hes fatter cause my father overfeeds him. And hes downright massive for average german shepherds.

CloverFlowers In reply to SevenZee [2014-02-04 06:57:13 +0000 UTC]

Hm..the thing is as far as I can tell, the White German Shepherd and the "Swiss" Shepherd are the same thing. But the wiki seems to categorize the White German Shepherds and the "standard" German Shepherds differently. So truly, it's like both of you are right, since they're the same breed, just a different name.
