Molly Riveter is a character for a simple platform game I hope to make. This running sprite is, I guess, my first serious, good-faith effort to create a 16-bit style sprite.It's...better than I thought I could do? It's not great. I didn't copy anything to make it. I used Mega Man X's sprite as an initial reference solely for proportions, but the poses and animation are totally from scratch. I guess her standing pose is more similar to X's, but still not copied in any way.

Very good work, especially if you using Megaman X sprites as reference for proportion. However, the art can use a little more work. The animation is very good.

Holy crap, I forgot this was on this account. Thanks. I ended up not using it but it was a useful experience making it. "Useful" in whatever sense learning a skill I will never have time to seriously pursue permits, anyway
