Tropius are native to the jungle areas of the Caijo region.
These are a family of pokemon related to ancient pokemon in physique, they've evolved along with the lush forests, ever-adapting to them.
A collapse in the woodland biomes in the pokemon world means many of its unique endemic species might be lost forever.

There's some controversy happening in Caijo about how ethical it would be to industrialize natural spots, even if for society's benefit.
And this is the main storyline plot.
