This is a personal piece as well as just a huge thank you to everyone who has ever been especially kind to me, particularly for the big outpouring of love which I received after I experienced a moment of great insecurity earlier this March -> rosannapbrost.tumblr.com/post/… I wasn't expecting any feedback at all on that post - in fact, I almost deleted it, as I do most of my momentary whines these days, because most of the time I feel like nobody wants to listen to me, but when I saw what people had written I left it there.

So - just thank you. And this huge project is also dedicated to all the other people out there who like me feel like a lone wolf in the void, wishing and calling desperately for a pack family of their own yet finding none - there may not be someone listening out there who can be that, but there's always someone there who can help you feel better and remind you that you are loved. Of course, this can also be read other ways. I hope you'll read it however feels best to you.

For those who are a little confused over the identity of the canine critter that our arctic wolf (Canis lupis arctos) meets, it's an arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) in its seldom seen summer coat. Backgrounds were referenced by photographs of arctic tundra from all over the world, but especially from the Canadian territory of Nunavut and jolly old Siberia. It has been a very long time since I have attempted to paint a background and I am very proud of what I produced here. This project took quite a while to produce, but it was worth it and I am pleased with the overall result. I hope you like it. I've been wanting to create something beautiful like this, based on the magnificent summer arctic tundra (which I feel was as big a character as our wolf and fox in this) for quite a while.
