Sunny Tiger Brost
August 6th 1999 - August 19th 2011

There's a lot of things that I can say about my happy kitty, my guardian angel and heart breaker. He was my champion, my hero, my monk. He was with me through thick and through thin and he probably helped save my life when I was a teenager. He was the quintessential special childhood pet, but he was more than just a pet because I understood him and he understood me; he was a person in his own right, albet covered in soft sheddy fur. He was a good, happy, fat, loyal, trusting, awesome cat and the world is a lot sorrier without him. My life certainly is.

To those who are wondering why Sunny's memorial is on #ArtaiRimaria , it's because Sunny had a big part in making Rimer what it is. All the feline creatures are animals that were created because I was inspired by him and his love and so it must be noted that Sunny has contributed a lot to Rimer. This is a great loss for me but also for my project and all I can hope is that his memory continues to inspire me forever and always.

He was and is, the original fire cat and without him, there would be no Firis. Firis was conceived completely because of him, massive horse-sized loyal lovable brute that she is. It is because of Sunny and his sisters Smokey and Mamma Kitty and their willingness (or not) to play Endangered Species with me and my 'biologist' brothers that fire cats were invented.

Rest in peace, Sunny baby. Hanar un xyn brave soul. I love you and will forever.

To anyone pretentious enough to critique this photo - please don't. This is a memorial. I don't pretend to be a photographer and though I really love this photo of Sun-sun-in-a-bun-sun, it was taken with a camera phone at my old house in the golden days of Sunny and I's life together, before I had to move.
