Finished this one on Christmas - it was fun! My favourite part is her hindquarters - falcolfs have very strong rear ends, considering that they need a lot of muscle there in order to launch themselves heavenwards. As a result of their muscley, cattish* bodies they aren't very fast though** - despite certain biological adaptations, falcolfs are generally ambush predators and they rely heavily upon strategy as well as teamwork to catch their dinners. Like most predators, their main prerogative is to save energy, so if they can kill their prey with minimal effort, they will. Whenever possible, they prefer to attack aerially, although for many falcolfs, forested habitat does not often allow this. Often, young falcolfs will flush prey out of cover, into the open where they may be killed by their more skilled elders in ambushes from above.

*Yep, falcolfs are more cat than canine in their anatomy. About the only part of them which bears any resemblance to canidae is their heads - the rest of their body is largely feline inspired. If you were to see a falcolf walk, you would see it prowl like a big cat, smooth and confident; I should animate this.
**They can still run far faster than a human can, though...
