Everyone has their own opinion, and if you don’t think he is a Simba clone, then that’s fine, but I fail to see any genes he inherits from his mother’s side, unless Simba and Nala’s families share many of the same genes, but judging on the way Sarafina and Nala look, that isn’t really the case.

I was really just commenting on how he's not an exact Simba clone. Considering in the books he's practically a carbon copy of Simba (With a hair tuft and bigger nose), I just enjoyed how he looks like his own character here. But you can see that he's not exactly like Simba; he's got a cooler-toned pelt, which could have come from Nala. Granted, some people also sometimes look a lot like one parent; it can be the same case here.

True, especially went it comes to animals they can look more like only one parent, and the artsist did take some liberties with his design here, unlike the artist of Six Adventures.
