She heard the ripping off of tree limbs, the destruction of foliage, felt its great mass in the vibration in the ground as the beast came crashing through the bush, long before she had ever saw it. Hoping not to be seen, she stood perfectly still, not moving a muscle but it was too late. Snorting, it rushed towards her until it was only inches away with their noses almost touching. She felt the great intake of air when it breathed deeply of her scent. A heavy male musk smell wafting from its massive body as his dark beady malicious eyes bore into her like she was destined to become his next meal as he opened his mouth and roared, revealing razor sharp canine teeth as long as her forearm. His breath as hot and fierce as a blast furnace and the stench of rotting flesh of carrion hung in ripped shreds from his jagged teeth almost overwhelming.

She steeled her spine and steadied the shaking of her limbs and vanquished all thoughts of how her head could entirely fit into its gaped open mouth and boldly stared back at him aggressively with hateful eyes, knowing if she gave the least sign of fright or gave off the sharp bitter smell of fear that she was a dead woman. The beast almost seemed to give an ominous evil smile as he stretched his neck forward ready to give that killing bite but was expecting when she punched his snout as hard as she could and screeched out in a loud commanding voice “BAD PUPPY!!” ...
