there needs to be more of these. some people just dont get us. im emo, but people keep thinking im goth DX. it pisses me off... i dont hate everyone.

Hmm... I had to think about that for a while... It's been a while since I made this one.
Thinking on it now, I wouldn't say that those bands specifically are emo, but the people who tend to idolize and listen to them are... especially if they're trying to act like they're goth while doing it. Which I think was more of the point really. Posers trying to act Goth, but only ending up looking and acting Emo because they've no clue what Goth really means. And Hot Topic is pretty famous for selling threads that make you look like a poser... but I digress...
As for Linkin Park though, I dunno... their music does tend to depress me at times. XD

Dude! I like Green Day and Marilyn Manson but I'm not emo though. ^_~
But yeah Linkin' Park IS emo! So is "My Chemical Romance" and "My Simple Plan".
How do I know? I'm not emo, I just know and hear everything about them! ^_~
I know what emos are like..........they're like a sad pathetic sorryasses who can't take a sense of humor. EEHH HEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!>-D
And oh yeah, I like Hot Topics but only 'cuz it has cool stuff too. Like Family Guy, South Park, My Little Pony,etc. Those are not emo indeed! ^_~
