Pierce isn't overly pudgy, but he also isn't a body builder. His eyes are a round-almond shape and are generally very wide and animated. His eyebrows are black. Pierce's lips are thin. His hair is of medium length and comes down to the back of his neck. It's very curly, and he often has stray curls sticking out here and there. Pierce has pointed, leathery ears that are normally hidden under his large amount of hair. When smiling, the right side of his lips pull up a little further than the left. When it comes to fashion, Pierce is seriously lacking. He generally wears jeans or sweatpants and a hoodie that is far too large for him. In the summer months he may rarely be seen in a t-shirt. For the cold winter months, Pierce wears a coat and sometimes a scarf and/or gloves. His outfits have become more civilized and clean thanks to Malachi's help.

P E R S O N A L I T Y }
Pierce is a bit of a difficult character to explain. At first glance, Pierce is an extremely frightened, wary individual and can come across as childish. He doesn't have much experience in the world and doesn't understand how things work. Along with that, Pierce hasn't had much time to formally "grow up" and has reverted to a childish state to protect himself. He's very timid and has a hard time starting a conversation. He will rarely approach people. Over the years, Pierce has built up a wall to protect himself. He doesn't know how to trust people and is afraid to get hurt or be used. Give him some time, and he'll warm up. He's really quite friendly once you get to know him, though his timidness never really goes away. He's 'spooky', in a sense, and doesn't take to being touched or surprised in any way.
Once he feels comfortable around someone, Pierce becomes a great friend. He loves to sit quietly and listen and is actually very curious about the world. For the last two years of his life, he'd been locked up without knowledge of what was going on. He's still trying to collect everything that's happened and is still happening. On the rare instances that you reach his very core, you'll find that Pierce is simply a kid wanting to be loved. He's playful and has a great sense of humor - he loves to laugh. In a lot of ways, he's still a kid at heart.
An important thing to note is that once Pierce has finally opened up, he trusts blindly. It would be incredibly easy to take advantage of him or hurt him. Should this happen, Pierce will revert back to his shy, timid state and, in most cases, will never be able to trust that individual again. He's ridiculously sensitive like that.

{ Birth and Childhood }
Pierce is the bastard child of a young human and an incubus. His mother, named Lottie, met the demon at a bar, disguised as a human. The two shared a couple of drinks between themselves and got lost in their raging hormones. Somehow, Lottie survived the attack, however she soon found out that she was pregnant. Frightened and alone, she kept this information to herself for as long as she could, withdrawing from her usual life. She had little to no memory of the night and certainly couldn’t remember who the father was. Ashamed, she couldn’t tell even her closest friends and closed herself off.
The pregnancy was hard for her. Lottie was carrying a half demon child within her, and it took a toll on her body. The bigger he grew, the weaker she became. When it came time for the birth, Lottie sought out the help of any passerby. Terribly weak, the young woman staggered down her street, crying for help. She was hysterical by the time her neighbor, conveniently a nurse, came to her aid. Everyone was shocked to learn of the pregnancy, after all, Lottie had done a superb job at hiding it. Her neighbor brought her into her home and assisted the birth. Unfortunately, it was too much for Lottie, and she died only moments after.
The little baby boy was taken to a hospital to be looked after and then taken to a shelter where he was soon adopted out to a human family. His new parents were John and Abigail Jones. John and Abby were the parents every little kid dreamed of having, and they spoiled the young boy. They raised him with pure love and taught him the values one should have. Unfortunately, Pierce was the only child they’d have, but they didn’t mind. At this point, Pierce showed no signs of being a demon, and it was assumed that he was human. They raised him to be a respectable young man.
As a child, Pierce always had trouble making friends. He knew something wasn’t right about him, but he was never able to tell, and at such a young age, his parents weren’t sure what to do. He was always friendly and polite, but he seemed to have a bit of a temper that scared away other kids, or Pierce just lacked the effort. Without any siblings and hardly any friends, Pierce learned how to play by himself and seemed to have been happier this way.
Where grades in school were concerned, Pierce was an average student. As a young boy, he was more interested in causing mischief (for reason unbeknownst to them, it followed him around, to no fault of his own). As he began to mature, his schoolwork started to become more important. He was actually smart if he applied himself.
{ Adolescence }
Not much had changed as Pierce entered adolescence, and he continued his life as it had always been. He grew up believing that John and Abigail were his real parents, and they had yet to tell him anything of his past. It had never really had any reason to come up. Pierce never wondered where his curly hair or blue eyes came from.
This is where it starts to get interesting. On Pierce’s 16th birthday, everything changed. The young man woke with a headache to rival breaking bones. Upon getting out of bed and looking at himself in the mirror, he found out that he had sprouted horns, pointed ears and a tail. Pierce was mortified. Who he saw in the mirror was not him. The creature’s black eyes stared helplessly back, unable to help him or answer any of his questions. First, Pierce inspected the horns, feeling them, even giving them a tug. Next where the ears. He ran them between his fingers, feeling them, folding them this way and that. They were real. Pierce then grabbed hold of his tail, only to drop it in shock. It had sent a jolt straight through him. Apparently it was very sensitive. Millions of questions were racing through his mind.
Above all else, Pierce was frightened. Petrified, really. He couldn’t let his parents see him like this. Did they know about him? What the hell even was he? The fear made him tremble. He didn’t know what to do. Eventually, the fear overcame him. It took over his new body, creating a rage he had never felt before. Before he knew it, he was strolling through the house. His parents at first greeted him in the kitchen, though they were quickly taken aback by his appearance. They tried talking to him, but Pierce was inconsolable.
The pain, confusion and fear turned to blind rage. Pierce slaughtered his adopted parents and then fled. The young man had no idea what to do or where to go. He had absolutely no clue as to who or what he was. All that kept him going was the rage and this thirst to hurt others. The once kind, respectful boy no longer existed. Pierce traveled across the country then, slaying strangers as he went. He was hunted by authorities and considered dangerous and unstable. However, he went into hiding and continued his rampage for over a year. The complete body count is yet unknown.
These antics did not, however, go unnoticed by the Underworld. Word quickly spread of a young demon that was on a murder spree. Other demons were then sent out to look for him. It didn’t take long. Pierce fought against him, but the young demon was no match for the others, and they took him away. Pierce was then locked up. At first, they kept him tied to prevent him from harming others. Whenever he tried to fight against them, he was hit. Pierce was tortured into submission. Eventually, once he was deemed safe enough and “broken”, he was released from the ties and locked in a cell. This cell was tiny, having been barely large enough for him to stretch out across the floor. There were no windows, save for a little part of the door that would open regularly to slide food inside. Here, Pierce died.
The young demon was locked in the cell for two years. Here, he was isolated, only being allowed to leave the cell to wash up or stretch his legs. This didn’t happen all too often. Though he was fed daily, Pierce would often ignore meals and became weak. He lost a lot of weight. Instead of trying to help him, they simply locked him away. Whenever he had gathered up the strength to try to break free, he was simply beaten again and put back. He eventually gave up. Pierce still didn’t know who or what he was, though he had come to terms with his appearance.
Being locked away for so long did, mentally, kill Pierce. He was alone with nobody to talk to, and if he dared act out, he was beaten. It didn’t take him long to realize that there was no hope. He would curl up in the corner and welcome the darkness.
After two years of isolation, Pierce had nothing left. He had come out of his rage, but with that, he lost all of his memories prior to being captured and locked away. All he knew was that he had done something awful, which had caused him to have to live here. While the physical abuse had stopped, he was still abused mentally. He lost himself, one could say. He reverted to an extremely fragile state of mind.
In the background of this all, Pierce’s real father was looking for him. He had learned of his birth all those years ago and had attempted to keep tabs on him. Afraid to enter his life, he sat in the rear, simply watching his boy grow up. After all, he couldn’t walk into his life and declare himself his real father and then tell him he was half demon. Once Pierce had gone on his rampage, his father had lost track of him. Like others, he searched, though his intentions weren’t to harm the boy. He simply wanted to help him with the transition and become a proper father, albeit sixteen years late. However, after over a year of searching without finding him, his father pushed it onto the back burner.
{ Young Adult }
It wasn’t until Pierce was nineteen that his father had finally learned about his whereabouts, though by then Pierce was hardly his son anymore. This beaten down man was hardly anyone at all. His father couldn’t stand to see him like this, and he hired a family friend to get him out.
Malachi, as the demon was named, went straight to where Pierce was being held and took him out of there. The younger demon was confused, blinded by the light shed by the door and frightened of the tall stranger. He told him that he was going to finally get to leave, but Pierce didn’t know what to believe and was skeptical. With some convincing, Pierce was on his feet, stumbling and staggering out with the help of his new companion. It was clear to his father, however, that he was far too traumatized to be out alone in the world, and Malachi agreed to keep watch over him.
Pierce was like a kid in a candy shop. He had no idea how long he was locked in the cell, and upon seeing the outside world, he was thrilled, if not overwhelmed. Unfortunately, he retained a childlike mentality that Malachi is still working on cracking. Somewhere deep down, the old Pierce still existed. It would just take a whole lot of work to find him.
A few months have passed since Pierce has been freed, and he and Malachi still travel together, with Malachi working tirelessly to try to teach Pierce the ways of the world. He’s still extremely skittish, so the two live in a cabin in the woods, away from the triggers of the real world. It’s a slow process, but Pierce is slowly starting to come back around.
Within this time, Pierce also met another man named Mordecai. Mordi was crucial in helping Pierce learn to interact with another human, and he’s slowly opened up to him. Pierce has yet to meet others and is far from his original self, but he’s happy with the company of Malachi and Mordi.
His father has yet to meet him, however, and Pierce only knows bits and pieces about him.

. Pierce experiences brief flashes of his past, though most of the time, he can’t remember anything. These mostly include small bouts of rage, where his demon side takes over, but he has been known to remember a name here and there.
. Has a sweet tooth. Can be convinced with chocolates and candies.
. Was gifted a vibrator from Malachi for Christmas. Has no idea what it is or what it does. You take with that what you will.
. Dislikes tuna, coffee and the color brown.
. Likes fuzzy things (preferably kittens), hot chocolate and the color blue.

. He loves to go for walks and is a huge nature lover.
. Bad habits include biting his lip, picking at the hems of his shirts/hoodies.
. Likes to swim
. Pierce owns a key that allows him to open a door (in midair). It’s a portal to any dimension or place he chooses. Generally hidden somewhere on his body. Only Malachi knows about it.

. Virgin

PIERCE <3
It’s about damn time.
any past rps may no longer be accurate to his new personality/history, but we will look past those OTL
Will update at a later date with other outfits, scars, etc. I’m still sketching them all out. Just wanted a general reference for now. He and Daedalus are my most fleshed out human characters, however I think this has officially beaten Dae since he doesn’t even have a ref. Ahaha anyway.
Enjoy some Pierce <3
