Zinder and Virlene actually fell in love while still arranged so their bond is strong, but after seeing how much Virlene wants to sacrifice to take down Hell's Club, Zinder wanted to seperate to think for a bit. Basically Zinder wants to keep away from Hell's Club with peace by letting Thraldom borrow his grimoire while Virlene wants chaos and violence.
