I feel like I am the explorer standing in the middle of the mare crisium, looking up and seeing the gleam of the Sentinel, token of the loneliness of the race that came before, that they would leave it to watch over the children of the earth.
I've read that short story too and you've illustrated it perfectly, this should be adopted as the cover!
