This is just a little surprise I did for three of my DA friends. I know all three of them have been going through some tough times recently, and I was really worried about it, so I thought I'd do something for them.The picture is of Frodo sleeping and Galadriel and Elrond as angels standing watch over him. I hope all my DA friends know that I would send angels to watch over them all the time if I could. (I know, it's pretty corny.) This is also my first DA submission with colored pencils (I think), so excuse my bad scanner, lol.
So, ~darkelvenmage , ~Eluned , and * hobbit-katie , this one's for you. And to all my other friends, especially ~ robingirl , because I just found out she's having a hard time right now too. Many hugs to you all, and I hope things look better very soon.

very beautiful... i especially love elrond as an angel...it's interesting how well tolkein elves fit the (somewhat) traditional angel archetype... but then again, some people consider lotr to be a christian allegory, and if you interpret it as such, elves = angels!

Aww, this is a nice picture, and a nice metaphorical thought for your friends. Though Frodo is drawn a bit too large here for a hobbit (he doesn't look much taller than the elf-lord and lady, UNLESS this is intentional i.e. Elrond and Galadriel are merely in some sort of spirit form), the actual way that you've positioned his body is very impressive. It's not an easy pose, I can tell you!

Elrond is awesome! I could tell who he was exactly, but Gladriel, she looks a little bit too young. Usually she looks a little... I dunno, static clingy...

This is a very very touching picture.
The media you used gives is a very personal, soft touch. And the expression on Frodo's face really gets to me, like someone having a bad dream. But it is okay because there are angels there.
Great job. Beautiful piece. Your friends should be very thankful you have such a wonderful soul to feel for them and produce art for them this way.
I hope things get better for them as well.
