I have just started to cross stich and I really like. So, I decided that I would make a R2d2 wearing a Santa's hat as Christmas gift for my brother-in-law. There only thing is I couldn't find a R2D2 cross stitch pattern I liked online. The closest thing I could find was this: [link] (#4). It's one those pearl bead projects. (You use plastic beads, arrange them and then use an iron to mealt together).
Using this, I made a gride in Paint and then filled in the different boxes with the different colors until it looked like R2D2.
For the Santa hat I just found a clip art, put the gride over top of it and then filling in the boxes with the differnt colors.
I hope this all make sense. lol.
When I have the final thing finished I'll post more pictures.

EDIT:
Now with "Merry Christmas" in Star Wars font. I found the font at: [link] but I didnt want to downlad the font so just cop and pasted the first abc. I then edit the letters together to spell out Merry Christmas and then eyeballed the grid. I hope that makes sense.
