I’ve tried to reflect on what I’ve done
But I don’t even have the bullet to match the gun
It feels like its April all over again
Because yesterday was sunny and now it’s raining again

I’ve flipped this coin for so many reasons
Asking myself. If I try will it change the conversations?
I blindly attempt to fix this friendship
But my questions are turning into buried ships
With my tears sinking them further into the deep
I know I’m not supposed to be, but I’m weak

You’ve done me wrong so many times before
Stabbed me in the back, lied, and ignored
And yet I’m the one here reminiscing
About how I’m missing
And you’re off somewhere pissing
Yeah, pissing it all away

Am I really suppose to believe you forgot me
After all the shit we have locked into our memories?
I mean, all the time I spent feeling sorry for you
All the money I wasted ignoring life with you
Why am I the one sitting here wondering?

But still today when I looked at the calendar
I noticed the date underlined with a marker
And I took a moment to recollect on the good things from our past
Happy Birthday, even if these words are my last
