I know a lot of people don't like Alien vs. Predator but I'd rather watch it over than the sequel, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.

While Alien vs. Predator does come across as tone down from the other movies and the kills aren't really all that impressive, it does deliver the Alien fighting the Predator and it's actually a well done battle. The characters are forgettable and the story isn't much to comment on but it's still worth checking out. I personally don't mind sitting through a bad movie as long as I find some entertainment from it, than it's passable. This would probably be one of those movies where it's so bad, it's good. The Scar Predator is actually the only predator from the movie that I actually remember and I thought he was badass.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem picks up right where the first movie left off and it acts like it's off to a good start but like any other terrible movie sequel, it goes downhill right away. I hate every single character in this movie and not one of them is likeable. They are boring, bland, forgettable, and most of the time, they're assholes. The movie amps up the gore and it gets the "R" that the first movie didn't get but it doesn't help the fact that the movie is so dark, you can't even tell what's going on. The BIGGEST problem with this movie is that it's too dark and you can barely tell what's going on and half the time, it looks like a bunch of shadows doing some sort of dance. The reason why it's so dark is because they couldn't afford the lighting crew to help lighten the movie to where you could see what's going on.

The Wolf Predator is actually a total badass that he managed to take on an army of Xenomorphos all by himself, using two plasma shoulder cannons, turning them into one later on in the movie. Using some very creative weapons and traps to take the Xenomorphs. The Predalien is a neat and a unique concept to where we have a xenomorph that's half predator, considering it a hybrid. The final battle between the two is actually pretty good and I love the roar that the Wolf Predator lets out when he took off his helmet. It's one of the best roars that I've ever heard and it's so epic, I actually rewind it just to hear it again.

Both movies aren't that great but Alien vs. Predator is the better movie to watch. The sequel is skippable and not really worth watching because it's too damn dark.
