Drowning in desolation,
Incapable of sentiment,
Perpetually drenched in solitude.

Flowing like a river,
The lexis comes spewing forth.

Like rancorous thunderheads,
Cutting in to whatever sanity remains.

Quivering with anticipation,
Bodies in motion,
Futile movements,
Meaningless lives,
All identical,
Animosity is their death.

I may even be able to use it as a connection piece to the poem me and my partner have to teach to the class for English. (We're using "Alone" by Edgar Allan Poe)
