This looks so intense! I never thought of using ink and charcoal together. I'll have to try it out sometime. I suppose you put the ink down first, and then charcoal over it?

Yes, I do the inking first, though I've done it either way, but the ink lays doing a good foundation and I'll bring ink back in for touch up if needed after the charcoal is done.
