From birth, Atoll's life has been anything but a walk in the park. Born into a family that didn't want her, she was handed over to the Tonpellian clergy for adoption. She was adopted out at the age of eight as a stand-in heir to a family who's child had unfortunately passed, and from that moment onwards almost every waking minute of her childhood was spent trying to hone her into the ultimate leviathan hunter. Ceaseless training and lessons meant she had little time for friends growing up, and though she was resentful for this a fear of being put back up for adoption or otherwise abandonment kept her rebellious streak in check. When she entered into the enforcement company and was assigned to a ship she almost immediately started making up for the lost time of her youth. She surrounded herself with boisterous friends, made sure she was liked by nearly everyone on the ship, and took lovers in every port she visited, reveling in this new freedom away from her adopted parents. Her affinity for the water (and exceptional speed in it) granted by her large wingfins made her indispensable during a hunt (aiding in dispatching the monsters from the water, or often luring creatures within harpooning range as bait) and as such she quickly climbed through the crew's ranks - culminating when she took the position of first mate of the ship named 'The Delight'. She hasn't yet sought to become captain even though she's very capable of being one - always preferring to leave the decision-making to others.

These days, Atoll is content to spend her days hunting leviathans on the open waters, and her nights spent in taverns on conquests of a different kind entirely. Her live-and-let-live attitude generally keeps her out of fights, both on and off the water, while her casual smile is capable of disarming even the most hostile drunkard at any bar. While she almost always carries a smile when around others, this isn't typically the case when behind closed doors. Her large, thick wingfins but a lot of strain on her back on a daily basis and she's typically in constant discomfort in her day-to-day because of this. The only times she finds relief from her wingfins is when she's lying down or in the water, and as such she seeks to do either whenever she can find an excuse for it.

- Has a small residence in Hanto Magnata and stays there whenever 'The Delight' is in port
- Dotes upon a pet Gansey - Grunt - whom was given to her as a gift by an Eisgar when she was in port last Elskarok
- Her family takes care of her Waveflier - a companion from her youth which helped teach her how to dive and hold her breath for long periods underwater
- The tattoos were added progressively as she rose through enforcement company ranks - she has the logo tattooed on the back of her right wingfin
