Last minute poster for Anime Expo in 1.5days. I spent so long playing around with the background that I ran out of time to work on the characters T_TI really hope the series end with a happy ending, considering all the gore and death along the way.

Okay, my mind has been blown by this piece of artwork. There is just so much detail I'm not sure where to begin. Well first off everything is just proportional and it all looks realistic. The horses look like horses, that's the most important part. XD The coloring and shading is just incredible. And I love how the emotions are in this. I'm so flabbergasted I can't think of anything better! >.< There is just a beautiful set of emotions which the art brings out and it looks so realistic. You did an incredible job with this. I think I'm struck most by the poses the horses and characters have. Mikasa and Eren look beautiful! Wonderful job!

I can see loooooong years of practise in this. I strive to one day be able to work so well on programs like photoshop, there is just much more freedom and room for experimentation in terms of drawing! And of course the quality of the drawing when you post it online is just far too superior...

Well, it's definitely more forgiving and time saving than drawing traditionally
Just the other day, I was doing a commission on paper that I had to later mail to the commissioner. At one point, I made a mistake and was pressing the 'ctrl-z' on my keyboard to undo before I realize that I was drawing traditionally and need to use an eraser =_=

Ahahah, well that's habit for you! Still, even though traditional methods are deffinetely old school, I can't help but wonder about the world of digital art... I feel like I need to take the next step but I don't even know how

the thing to keep in mind about drawing digitally is that it's faster/more convenient to achieve the results you want to achieve traditionally, but it doesn't suddenly make it better. So if someone sucks at drawing to begin with, they're not going to suddenly get better just because they start using photoshop. aka, don't expect to really see a big jump in the quality of your art lol
with that said, your drawings look pretty decent, so if you wanna give it a go, i'd start by downloading a program and trying it out (sai is free, photoshop is more powerful but can be overwhleming for first-timers, i havent used other stuff yet)
i would just test out the functions and tools with a mouse first, and if you like it and want to do more digital art, then buy a tablet
or you can always see if you have friends who have a tablet, and try theirs
drawing digitally isnt the same as drawing on paper. i have a cintiq, which is about as close as you can get, and even that feels different
also, some effects/happy accidents are hard to achieve digitally, so this isn't for everyone

SnK is literally such a captivating anime and you really embodied that with this alluring background ; q ; I honestly hope the ending is peaceful, too... although the series has done a great job on making people feel like none of the characters are ever safe!
