A photoshop exercise. I'm feeling kind of stuck these days so I decided to just pick a kitten photo and have at it. This is done from a reference (but not traced). I only used three layers, one of which is just a solid blue background, because I was trying to relax with it and do it fast.Photoshop Elements 6.

How beautiful. I love this. It has such a nice feeling to it and the visible strokes of paint and such rather add to that feeling. I think my mother would be quite fond of this piece's style (and the piece itself) The light is especially astounding, you did a really good job with making it look natural and real. I love Loki's sweet and curious expression too and the gorgeous eyes.

wow, at first glance of the thumbnail i was a little peeved because i thought you were just posting a photo of your cat (not a bad thing really, just not terribly interesting)
