"I'll get you next time, Gadget... NEXT TIME!"

This is an old drawing of what I more or less pictured Dr. Claw looking like if he ever turned around from that chair. Dr. Claw would never show his face in the original Inspector Gadget cartoon. Not once did he ever reveal what he looked like behind that sinister chair. All we ever got to see were his hands (which were usually petting his feline companion). So, one could only imagine what the head of M.A.D. really looked like behind that chair.

This is, more or less, how I always pictured Dr. Claw looking like. As it turns out, though, my vision of Dr. Claw was way off from what he officially looks like. Ya, although we never got to see what he looked like as far as the cartoon goes, other sources did reveal him much later on. And I have to admit, I'm actually kinda disappointed (which is part of the reason I wanted to do a drawing like this in the first place). Now, you could say I technically still didn't show his face, since he's wearing a mask, but... shut up.

How ANYONE can connect that voice with THAT face is beyond me. Maybe whoever designed the action figure had no idea what Dr. Claw was actually like. Heck, the cartoon constantly showed that both his hands had a metal gauntlet, yet the toy only had it on one, so that's more than enough for me to dismiss the action figure's design as his true appearance. At least in my own head. I realize his official appearance is his official appearance, and has gone on to appear in many other things after that initial action figure shook the world, but I can still choose to overlook it due to contradictions with the original cartoon (where what he looked like was never revealed, anyway).

Anywho, these are just my own opinions. Feel free to disagree if you want.
