Honestly, I don't think this image can grab my attention. The colours are too bland, and it's lines. Most people prefer eye-catching stuff, with either vibrant colours, or a unique pattern.
INteresting choice of subject though, perhaps enhancing of the colour would be better in helping of your contest? If you're talking macro, people want details, and the only details I get are lines. Hmmm. That said, what is the subject? A leaf?

This has a beautiful detail in the grass (or plant) that is contrasted nicely by the surrounding blur and great composition with rules of off centered composition!
