So. The other day I was watching a bunch of really feels-y Warriors speedpaints. One of them was this scene. I got inspired and my brain made this.

I like scenes that aren't commonly shown in fan art, but are still easily recognizable. We don't know much about the birth of Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather other than that it happened in leafbare, and presumably, Squirrelflight was there; in this interpretation, Leafpool has found a spot under a tree where the snow hasn't reached, and now lies with her newborn litter, experiencing strongly mixed feelings. Spottedleaf looks on, knowing all too well how Leafpool feels, and Squirrelflight keeps watch, urging her sister to hurry up before Brambleclaw or someone else comes looking for them.

I haven't drawn cats in such a long time I don't think I even have a consistent style for them anymore. But I gotta admit I've missed it. If only there were more time for art these days . . .
