Description    Scoff walked through the empty ally way. The day was late. He could remember seeing the sun set below the sand dunes, its blinding rays casting brilient colors across the rarley seen clouds. It was the most colorfull thing he saw in his whole life, but becuase of his brother he was unable to see that sun set. He cursed his brother. Although Adin had taken his sight from him Scoff wasn’t willing to give up on sight entirley. He learned that there was more then one way to see. It had been two years of hard trianing to learn other sights.
He needed no walking stick. Some of the people that came across him thought him not blind. He could sense his surrondings. He knew how wide the ally was. This was an almost unexplianable ability, he could feel the density within the place, and could tale when something was in frount of him.
There was a change in the air around him. Scoff stopped. There was movement in frount of him. The way the air blew so gentely across his bare face and hands. He reached for the sword on his hip.
“We both know what happend last time that you did that.” said a farmilar vioce in frount of him.
Scoff swung his sword forward in rage, but missed his apponent. The way that he moved was unlike anybody though. He could sense Adin infront of him one moment and to the side the next.
“I wish not to fight you my brother.” Adin reasoned.
“You didn’t think that two years ago.” Scoff counterd.
There was no answer to that questuion. “ why do you turn to a betrayer?” Adin asked.
“What are you talking about?” Scoff turned his head facing Adin.
“Sometime when you wish to know what I am talking of, ask Nescada how the secound Pasha of the Vandavart giuld died, and then ask her about the scar upon her left shoulder. Then you may know of what I wish to tale you.”
Scoff felt Adin move. The ally changed back to its regular denseness. The questions circled in his head, buzzing like a thousand bees around a single flower. Nescada never told of her past, and Scoff never cared to ask.

Nescada and Scoff sparred with real swords this day. She was beggining to trust Scoff despite his blindness. He sparred rather rough this day. She knew that something was getting to him even if he didn’t show it.
Scoff backed away from Nescada gaining a distance from her. “Nescada, how come you never tale me of your past?”
Nescada stopped. She came out of her defensive stance. “My past is not of your bussiness.” Nescada said more rudley than she intended.
“I know that you are a shape shifter. Where is your scar?”
Nescada felt affended by the question, but she answered. “Top of my left sholder. Why all the questions?”
Scoff paused. Was his brother taling him the truth? “You know history of the Vandavart? How are you conected?”

Nescada hated to remember the Vandavarts. “I was young and stupid. Thinking that I could join the Vandavart guild for my own gain. It cost me more than I will ever be able to replace.”
“You killed Pasha Jorgen, secound in the Vandavart line?” It hit Scoff all at once all the pieces, everything his brother had told him. Why would Nescada do such a thing.
The words hit Nescada hard. It brought dark memories of her past to the surface once again. She went back into her deffensive stance.
Scoff decided that she was not going to answer the question, or she wasn’t ready to, so he got ready to finish the days training. Although Nescada came at him with many combinations that he hadn’t yet learned. He tried desperitly to defend himself, but got hit on his Left sholder. He could feel the hotness of his blood trikling down his arm.
Nescada went to score a hit on Scoff, but he parried. Nescada was in the desert agin only this time battling Vand, the man that made her life misserable. She twisted her blade around his, throwing his sword out wide leaving his gut wide open.
Scoff fall to the ground. Nescada came in qiuck, but stopped short her jeweled dagger hovering above his chest. The image of Markin flashed before her eyes making her stop.
Nescada stood up offering Scoff know hand up off the ground. She just left him there. She walked through the halls till she came out of the guild. She wished to escape, not from the outlaw guild, or her past, but from herself.

Adin watched the encounter between Nescada and Scoff through his scurrying pool in the Vandavart guild. His plan worked perfectly. He watch Nescada rage. He knew that she would pause before she would kill Scoff, but that was not what he was after.
Adin eyed the dagger hovering above his brother. With Nescada’s anger, the jewels on the dagger seemed to light up. Adin smiled to himself. Inside he was laughing.
