you are so right!
i have noticed alot with my pictures here latly that i am getting better, but not the best, at shading and i am lagging on porportions again, but i hope that this next picture that i will take my time and stop if i get to tired instead of continueing

Yes , i allso do some pictures in several times .
I got some inspiration on a basic idea , but after an 2 hours of drawing , im mostly out of imagination , if i continue then ... well it scruw the thing (for me).
So taking breaks is a good way to make art you like yourself at the end too , i think

If your interrested in how i do the proportions of a face :

I think , for exemple for the face of this character , you could , after you drew the eyes(or before , but since this is your order of drawing...)draw 2 parallel straight lines , with the eyes in the middle of them . Thos lines will become the fare sides of the face , so dont make the distence betwen the outer corners of the eyes and thos lines to large ( you just have to feal this part in proportion to the eyes ) After this , all you got to do is make a round top on it , and a more jaw-ish form under . This looks strange tat the start , but , just try it 1 time : try to have above the eyes as much face as under them . The forhead wil apear to large , but this fealing mostly desapear when you put hair on it
Now for the details , its totaly your job
