Description Through all the battles that I went through, I feel closer to death than I have ever been. I wish many times over and over that Jode would have killed me. Maybe if he had than Markin could have lived. But where would Scoff be if I had of died?
Scoff is the closest thing to my past. He is a reflection of Markin maybe that is why I favor him so. He is so much like Markin that it scares me to be around him, scares me to know that I know him. That is why I train him day in and day out. I wish not to lose another, because of a mistake, so I shaped Scoff. I view Scoff as a second chance to gain back what I lost.
What stopped me from dieing at the hands of Jode was my own will to live. What stopped me from running away from my past was my will to live in acceptance. What stopped me from leaving scoff to die was a part of me I had not seen in centuries. It was a part of me I once used to know. Love? The word was always blemished. Like any person the truth seems to be blocked by something, but in the distance we see it. Striving on something that we might not know is really there?

I went on through the centuries into the darkness of the dagger, but I saw something that always reminded me of what I once knew. Perhaps that is the reason I live?

Nescada made her way through the Nordame. She stopped in front of a bare spot. No buildings rested here. All that sat on this vacant lot was a couple of standing broken walls. She knelt to touch the ground. She looked upon the wreckage. Through all the centuries it still stood here independent from the rest of the city on the edge of town.
Nescada left the site throwing a bag of gold coins to a dirty child with no shoes. She wondered out into the desert. She needed a place to sit secluded from the rest of the world.
She stood frozen in time atop a sand dune. For that one moment the world seemed to stopped rotating. For the first time since she had the dagger she deliberately put it down. She looked upon its magnificence. The many jewels sparkled in the high sun.
Leaving the blade in the sand she walked to a taller dune to look out over the desert. She had seen the sight so many times before, but this time it appeared more differently, brighter, and more peaceful than ever.
There was a pain in her left shoulder where her scar was. Another pain hit almost causing her to black out. She turned to see a figure standing on the sand dune below her. Her dagger in the stranger’s hand his other hand was raised across from the dagger. A green lightening emerged from his hand striking one of the jewels on the dagger. The jewel shattered blending with the desert sands.
Nescada breathed for air, but her lungs failed her. The stranger struck at the jewels again causing them to shatter and join with the others.
Nescada looked to sky before falling to the hot sands. Her life flashed before her, before her eyes closed forever.

Adin snickered in his short lived glory as a sharp pain hit in his back and out through his gut.
Scoff pulled his blade out of his brother. “You made a mistake when you left me to die in the sewers. I don’t die easily Adin.”
Scoff reached down for the know jeweless dagger at his brothers side. He was to late. In a way he thought it better this way. He had spent little time among the earth, but could tale Nescada’s suffering.
Scoff walked to the form of Nescada. Closed the eyes he knew to be open, clutched her blade, accepting the past, walking the present, and looking ahead.
