This will probably be the last sketch wip. In the next pic the pencil will be done and I'll be ready to add color. Thanks to my friends who have commented and been supportive - you have no idea how much it has meant!Related content

Thanks - so many references to get that right, and I still need to choose my exact lighting source for the highlights when I color. After seeing how hard it is to draw those details, I appreciate all the more those who actually put ships in bottles... lol.
I hope it continues to get better and that I don't mess it up when I color... that's always a fear. Will be using colored pencils by request because of my prior experience with them. Hope to color digital in future, but with a mouse it takes a long time and its been a while so not sure how I'd do shading.

Hmm... When the pencil drawing is done... Go to the copy shop and make some copies. Just to be safe... SHOULD something go awrsý, you can always colour the copy... I did that several times... AND sometimes it is even better to colour the copy for the paper is fresh and not roughed up!

I have one more row of bottles with the word 'Sojourn' for the rest of the band name. I'll probably put the mermaid scales in when I color so the will be shaded properly. I just hope I don't run out of time, Sis needs it in 18 days or less, and while that seems like quite a while, when you work full time it just flies by.
