Oh how emotions drives you to create!

Won't go into much detail, but had a breakup recently which really took it's toll on me. As if was ment to be, Amelia Brightman (sister to THE Sarah Brightman) released her first ever solo album. She's been working on it for years, I remember asking her about it in 2011.
On the album there was a song which seemed to be all about what I felt...

But I know that the clouds will be there
And I know that I'll always despair

Falling down on me
Keeps you mad at me
Oh the pain
I'll be missing you

In one early draft I made the background sharp, but it took too much focus from the model. Even though it's blurred you can see that the road in front of her leads towards ruins, her whole path is crumbling and is overgrown.
However, there is also light in the horizon. She must move on... don't look back.

All resources used in this photomanipulation are from my private collection. The ruins are mainly from St Mary's Abbey and it's surroundings in York.
