the kraken is a deep sea resident of daruzxa which lurks in the deepest, darkest voids of the ocean where sun doesn't shine.
they thrive primarily off of microbes and filter feed, though they aren't stranger to hunting and devouring larger creatures like draco mako and plesiosaurus.

these mighty cephalopods can grow up to 80 meters in length, the largest every discovered breaching the 100s of meters in length.
they use their insane length and tendril strength to strangle pray and tear them apart limb from limb. thanks to the hook claws and their tendril ends, they are able to shred prey in a manner of minutes.
while these squids are massive and shiny with brilliant florescents, these are used to their advantage.

explorers and scientists have described the squid's eye as hypnotic to witnesses, which leads to symptoms of amnesia, and involuntary actions when exposed to the Kraken's eye for too long. it is hypothesized these squids hypnotize prey to convince them to come closer and become subject to a quick death with little struggle in order to spare the Kraken's energy.
despite being large predators of most species, the kraken are subject to prey to the title masters, which are immune to their hypnotic abilities, they also tend to run and leave a trail of neurotoxic ink if prey fights back, making them very skittish and lack-luster fighters, though they are still widely feared and cautioned of by sea dwellers.
