the wave-lash amphithere is a surface predator of the ocean. they spend most their time outside the water despite having gills to breath underwater.
while they speed through the air at incredible speeds, these 20 meter long amphitheres swoop up and tear prey to shreds in their teeth while using their speed across the air to aid in quick kills.
they scavenge the surfaces of water bodies, beaches and occasionally dive into shallow coral regions to hunt, thought they normally go after small prey like flying fish, crabs, lobster, small dinosaurs, and anything that can fit in their mouth.
while they are mostly surface dragons, they do occasionally hunt under the water.

their body is aquadynamic, allowing for quick swimming through the waters, making them one of the fastest swimmers in daruzxa, though their aquadynamics also translate into the air.
while in the water, they hunt as they would in the air, save for occasional resting and lurking within shallow waters.
they cut through waters and with the whip of their tails, can create sharp, water projectiles that can stun pray outside the water.

their colors can range from teal greens and jades to sapphire blues, though their coral offcolors can range in all sorts of hues across the color wheel in brilliant, vibrant hues. red is the most common.
