Description
the Raiden Wing is a vicious storm predator that lurks in the center of the darkest tropical storms. they are massive, 35 meter birds that terrorize the skies in flocks of 4-6.
they travel in these storms to catch any unsuspecting pretty large enough to feast them.

while they will settle for small prey, they prefer to hunt larger more challenging prey, like full sized dragons.
it isn't explained why, some suggest for sport and "fun" but they don't tend to attack "easy prey"

these flocks will use their sharp claws and wings in order to fight off against large threats. they are also resistant to almost every breath type except for frost breath, making them difficult to kill at a distance. their thick hide is favored for armor straps and harnesses.
in combination with their thick hide is their single blade on their head, which they use as a natural weapon frequently.
while they are considered as part of the ecosystem of the sky, they are an invasive species that has evolved I've the years to survive up in the clouds and become a genuine threat to the life above the ground. they evolved dark bodies and the logging patterns in order to blend into the sky. they also evolved their thick hide to resist against the violent electrical currents.
