Thid battle happened when the Titans were launching a full out assault on the alien race that had invaded the Galaxy and has plagued it for hundreds of years, the Abyssians. While in the middle of their space raid, the Warlord of Space and Abyssian leader, Zartakla, launched his biggest "f*ck you" to the Titans. He brough Smog's programing back online and planeted it in a new and improved mech soecialized for fighting the Titans, especially Soul.
Soul in here is using an illegal transformation gifted to him by a distant cosmic being that no one knows anything about. The form is called "Star Killer" which is an addaptive Soliniva mutation that lets him resist gravitic feilds and pulling.

Smog has died many times, now he refuses to go down without critically injuring and almost killing all the Titans with his preasance alone.
