Maria is a good friend of mine that was diagnosed with Leukemia back in November/December. She is only 23 years old, has gone through multiple trials with this (as would be expected) and has yet to lose her grasp on a good attitude.

This is how I see her. She will always be beautiful and soft to me, even when she has no hair and chooses to cover it up with a bandana. The lilies to the right, are the cancer, dying/killing different parts. Yet, as they reach her, they bloom again. She doesn't let it completely get to her. The hourglass is her time she may have on this earth, which may break off and she may not have to worry anymore. Or it can run out of sand and her time is done. Her wings are intact, not broken as could be expected with this sort of tragedy. She still has the ability to fly.

I used two stock photos for the shoulder and chest area from =shelldevil . I'd put the link to the pictures, but I'd have to search through her extensive stock. Names of the stock photos- Maiden 10 and Red Cloth 6.
