Oh, you were referring to the Spur, which I have already established as a weapon I don't like. I thought you were daring me to do a Polar-Star-only run (no Machine Gun, no Snake, no Spur)
I actually played with the Spur on a friend's file; I found charging with one finger, jumping with another, and aiming with the other hand too difficult without a gamepad, whereas the MG's "hold down the button until it dies" mechanic was much more suited to a keyboard

There's plenty of CS art about on dA, but this definitely stands out - it's always interesting to see the actual action of 2D platformers from a different perspective, it really helps to transport you into the drama and adventure.
