I can't even put into words how excited I am for Zelda Wii U- like I literally can't even. Link's animations look so expressive so far, which got me thinking about how we might see some more complex emotions from him this time, leading to this little piece^^Why do you think he is crying?

Yep it's all digital, except the initial pencil sketch- I painted on top of a canvas texture so that's probably why it looks kind of like an oil painting

The pink hair reminds me of Link's in game sprite from A Link to the Past. Kinda fitting, too. Since his hair is kinda longer.

So happy you like the colours, It was REALLY difficult for me to make a clean cut decision on that. I was actually thinking of adding some more blue tones into the skin and hair, what do you think ?

I always envy when artists are able to mess around with the true colors of objects and just add a bunch of random pinks and blues and greens and stuff where they normally don't belong but still make the piece look so amazing *-*
Ooo that's an interesting idea! Though I kinda like just the eyes being blue because it really emphasizes them. Perhaps maybe adding purples instead? I still really like it the way it is though!
