Its a very beautiful design, but the eye is in the wrong place, the ears are to small, the neck is to long and the legs are to short and to far down. Next time try looking at a refference of a horse to see its anatomy.
I still love this pic, especially the detail in the hair and the swirls, also the brown "stained" effect adds a nice gesture to it.
Keep it up :3

It is a stylized fantasy drawing, not meant to me anatomically correct.

Yes I can sort of see that, but it would still bring the picture together better in my eye if it were a little more correct? I can understand the lengthlyness of the neck, maybe a bit shorter though.
I can see that this artist does very beautiful pictures and I understand there must be a reason, its simply my opinion.

Study pre-renaissance art... the periods before were all about stylization.
Stylization is about 'ushing' parts of the subject or ideal to certain extremes to put across a concept.
Personally, I also prefer more realistic expressions... focusing on showing concepts through movement rather than changing the figures themselves.

I noticed that, by going through your gallery... But a good overview of art history will help any artist develop further in their own style. If you only see the works of one master, let it be Da Vinci...
But going back as far as the Aegean period and as recent as Goya and Fuseli (even past them to the 1800 and 1900s) will give you insight on where to take your own art.
A word to the wise. Fuseli is considered by me to be the father of modern dynamic poses in illustration. His work on emotional expression within his pieces is incredible.

lol, that's alright. Da Vinci and Van Gogh have a similar syllabic composition, I guess.
Starry night is wonderful, but highly stylized, lol.

Is this not a traditional piece? I think this as it looks as it has been scanned due to the dark line on the side.
Aside from that, I think this is a fantastic piece of work and congratulations of a well deserved DD!
