Obviously not an original idea. This is a model of the city of Midgar from Final Fantasy VII. I uploaded an older version of this model a while back under a different account. I was no longer satisfied with my original model after the FF7 remake came out, so I scaled it up in size and added some finer details. I tried to keep it as accurate as possible (aside from the terrain, of course), combining elements that I liked from both the original game and the remake. Also made a few slight embellishments wherever it made sense to do so, mostly in regard to things that just didn't scale very well (the entire structure, outer plates included, is a little over 5 km in diameter.)

This is still very much a work in progress.

Update: Been working on this intermittently, adding cosmetic details whenever the mood strikes me. I haven't made any major changes to the model, though I might have something interesting in the works...
