The Ribbon of Cuteness is a terrifying artifact of immense power. Legends say that it was lost over a thousand years ago, only to end up in the hands of the Apple Family. Knowing there was no safer place for the ribbon, Celestia quietly began editing the history of the ribbon to conceal its true nature, while the Apples learned that the Ribbon's powers were normally muted if the cutest filly in the family wore it.
