Yeah, it gets very misleading. I mean, in GS1, we were all led to believe that Isaac was the silent, heroic type, yet in GS2, he's the assertive badass.

Yeah, and for the Japanese version, I was quite surprised to see that he used "ore" (俺), which, along with a few others, is used when referring to yourself, though ore is used for more confident males (Garet for example, uses ore). I personally would've thought he used "boku" (僕), which is used for younger or less confident males (I believe Ivan uses this. Piers uses this, though I'd say that's more of an attempt to make himself sound younger).
