What really makes Alucard a real vampire for me is that he's a flipping psycho. It's less his abilities and more his over the top insane personality.

XD I think I'll have Alucard just retreat from his doll body cause I have nothing for him to do. XD I feel bad for him. I had him do that when I was role playing him and all I could really have him do was to lay back on one of the couches and lightly snooze while listening to the conversations. I eventually decided he'd probably like to just go back to sleep and wait for when he's needed. XD

lol XD actually, Alucard came in before Integra on the rpg so he ended up getting new masters via God himself intervening. The new masters are the main families of hogwarts: Riddle, Potter, Weasley, Elric, Malfoy, Knight.

XD Sweet. In my RP with my friend. It's a crack married life. Hilarious alot of the time. Like one time, he got into it with Kenpachi Zaraki (who is now his offical playmate) and when they were fighting, the destroyed our house. Kenpachi pointed at him and said "OHHHHH, you're in trouuublllleee..." XD It was so funny. Sorry, I like to torture my fandoms. I'm ebil.

I really agree with you in the whole 'sparkle' aspect. I have read the Meyer series and it was enjoyable to a point....-_-; The sparkle thing ticked me off a bit. I'm up for different explanations of why vampires do not like the sun but SPARKLE?! Make a better plausible explanation, people...the veggie part doesn't bother me much since Louis in Anne Rice's book was against feeding on mortals. The sparkles and the unneeded melodramatic angst goes a bit too far for me...-_- AND NO FANGS! I MISS MY FANGS! Anyways, I like Alucard. I can tolerate Edward. Perhaps it's because I love my traditional legends and stories of vampires. I take Anne Rice's vampires, and Bram Stoker's then Meyer's. Sorry. I'm a fan of the books....just not so crazy of sparkling wannabes.

And I'm all for changing the nature of vampires. Like Melissa De La Cruz in Blue Bloods did a good job with vampires being fallen angels. It's just making them sparkley? And I do like the vegan/vegitarian vampires. I think its funny.

Sparkles? SPARKLES? What kind of vampire is THAT? And I was unhappy about vampires being all emo and sad, and being killed by silver (well, I forgive Trinity Blood, since they have a really good explanation for the silver-killing-vampires thing). Where are the evil creatures returned from the grave that made their family and friend ill and turned a community into a vampire-infested town, and what about the dhampirs, and...?
Sorry, got carried out. I'm a big fan of the traditional vampire tales. Bram Stocker changed the idea of the vampire quite a bit, but still it had much of the traditional legends.
Alucard is... Well, he's not your traditional vampire, but hell if I mind: he IS a vampire, he FEELS like a vampire, and ACTS as a vampire. That makes him win. Period.
