My original character Novus. He is an incubus. Hopefully some of you start to recognize him by now hm?
Photoshop project in my CS class. Finished a week early (given 2 weeks to do) so teacher (who's 23 years old, his name is Jeremy. he's cool) he tells me, do another one @___@
sketched in Pencil, colored in Photoshop.

Oooohh, I love this... Th' fact that it looks like a heart-shape and not a heart-heart in there is really cool... The little, subtle blue highlights are awesome.

true.. but photo manips are much fun, trying to get good at editing photos in cool funky ways. one i just did (martyr) took only 2 hours n looks better than some of my other stuff already ahah

i loved that so much. i saw your comment on someone elses work, and came to your gallery through the link in your signature. i glanced at your gallery and this picture stood out the most. im a big fan of incubus and succubus images. i loved the way he was drawn and the beauty. it shows a small amount of innocence, that we all have. i really love it..wow..its just..amazing.

very full of emotion, love the eyes they look brused and bloody and for some reason i really like that...the horns are amazing too ^^ love the shading for the ribs, for the time given this is really nice you could go far ^^

OH MAN HOW i LOVE IT!!!
I think the coloring came out really well. I like the added backround fits well with the scene at hand.He looks amazing coloring and I really like how you did the crosshatching for the horns to add a bit of texture. I really do like this piece alot and your really pulled the coloring off well. However the only problem I would say I have with it is the water. It just dosent really seem there it kinda dies to fast and easly at the forest wall and even around him I think you could have made the rinkles in the water a bit better however water is a hard thing to color properly so it is good but those are the things too look out for if you ever do water agian.
Still I really really like this coloring job and character design alot.

When it comes to great art so much can be said about it like the quote says " pictures are worth a thousand words", same goes for art.
Yeah I mean i can understand that you where just trying to add a backround and forground to the character model to make it blend it, and it looks good but if you where to ever do anouther picture with a ripple water like that just watch out for those things.
Again awsome piece of work.

Anyways, its beautiful!! <33333 I am like in love with it. The colors around him are like.. so dark, but then Novus is all.... brightly colored. XD Sort of, at least.

Cool he look all like his heart got cut out and then he had to find it and now is sewing himself back up. Its cool. I don't know why but it looks like his skin is like rolled over and healed while his chest was/is still open and now he has to close it even tho it healed. He's missing his bones. It would look weird if like heart inside bone then him sewing it wouldn't look like it was taken out. I like that you put a ripple in the water around him. So its not like he there not moving. I don't think a person sewing himself back together would be still. Love the little blue effect you put around and in the heart. Makes it more realistic since a heart isn't just red. Looks great. I'll end the longest comment I've ever given on Deviant Art. There you go Miss Fatale16.

When i was typing that message it didn't seem like i was typing that much i guess i was just typing a lot and really fast so it all just went poof and there. I don't know I'm not one to say add this or there a defect with people work since you can see my work it isn't great perfect so i don't have the space to talk. But like the Ribs the only way i think you could incorporate them if like 1. if his heart was riped like showing broken bones around the hole like kinda jagged but like starting to regain since the skin healed so the bone should of progressed and started to grow but them like kinda just holding the heart in the body. 2. if it was cut the only way i can think is nothing because how it colored it looked cut down the middle and pulled open so the bone would have to be riped out. This is all in a realistic aspect not a fantasy. I don't see people with ram horns so yeah its fantasy. Your heart in Novus is going to look like you avatar beating and almost busting out of the thread. Your about to have the two longest comment in one day both by yours truly. Your going to pass out soon gasping for air. You got a favorite from me on this piece. You have the 15 favorite i have.
