Hooray for random violence.
You thought i was gonna get all soft and mushy on you after all those journals, huh? well suck on this, beeches!!
anyways, i had a poll a while back where i asked what character I should cosplay as. X-23 won by a majority, so i decided to do a little fan work of her.
I recently got X-23: Target X and it is absolutely phenomenal. Not since Ed Benes have i been so inspired by comic book art. Mike Choi is a god.
i still hate my scanner. the piece of shit.

This is frickin Awesome! Love it! Kind of funny I just bought at lot of x-23 on ebay. I was looking for target-x #2 they were completely out of it at the wizard con and at stores, I had a hard time finding it on ebay or anyplace else. It was for my friend noelle. we had to completely her collection. I love this such a cool piece. God if I get off my ass and do some coloring this is happening after the talia piece.

I know, i really love X-23 now, it's just really hard to find the originals anywhere. and don't worry about the coloring, I'll probably be blown away again whenever you decide to post it, so no sweat.

i always draw the head first, but i do a rough sketch of the body and draw over that and the head usually ends up just being bigger than the body since i want to add so much detail.

I have to say that when I 1st heard about this character, I really thought Marvel had lost its mind again(Spider-Clone saga, anyone?), but she's really shaped up to be one killer character! Once again, the hair you draw for your characters is just so well rendered! Nice work on her facial expression, as she looks very pissed off! Great work, and I can't wait to see more artwork from you!

I know, i thought they were just ripping off cassandra cain or something, but she actually turned out to be a pretty awesome character (besides the whole goth-look thing, i hate that).

I hate when they create a character just to be a carbon copy of another...however, there are some exceptions when a similarity(intentional or otherwise) turns out to be something very cool! Such as: Captain Marvel(Shazam) to Superman

Holy geez I love the tension in this piece, fantastic line work as always and the shading oh my lord the shading is to die for!!!
And yup Mike Choi is insane with the art, the stuff he's done with X-23, X-Men, and Witchblade is ridiculous! But I could seriously see you owning him in no time flat....(says in Joker voice) you'll see! Btw...nice to see everything work out in the whole drama of the journals

HOLY CRAP I've been waiting for a man like Mike Choi. The way he draws women is just so... so... well, enough to turn a girl lesbian, how about that. I don't think I could own him anytime soon, but i will damn well try. i'll break his drawing hand.
