erm.. flash photography ... i have a good foundation that is natural looking till you use flash, then i do the pretty white thing. you should have seen my formal pics.. looked like i was wearing corpse paint.

actually, it's a little photoshop trick called "diffuse glow"
One of my all time favourite filters.

Actually, if the flash of which you speak is just the one on your camera, then don't turn it on..
it's the fastest way to turn a nice photo into a "happy snap"

I do my best to never use the horrid flash on my camera. I cant wait to buy a Nikon D70 and use remote flash systems

just wish my car would stop breaking down every time I get close to the 1500 I need for the D70 kit. pharrrking annoying!
