Description
Dear Old Mr. Bean with his teddy bear.His nose and right hand were a bit of a difficulty, but i think they turned out alright.
Mediums: F-B-HB-6B-8B + smudging stumps+ kneabable eraser
Duration: worked on it almost everyday for a whole week. I've been procrastinating lately

i really love watching mr bean... also find it much better than charlie chaplin and such. thought the new bean movie was a let-down though
anyway, lovely shading 
wonderful work on the hands too, i always have trouble drawing them
only suggestion i could make is to have a more interesting background

It wasn't such a bad experience drawing him, more of a practice sort of drawing. The scanning somehow equalized the tone of the background with the tones of his face.

Well it's always good to get practice I say! Yeah scanners can make or break them sometimes. But luckily this worked out just fine. No problemo!

The hands were definitely the hardest; they'll always be. Drawing Teddy wasn't that hard, achieving the texture was the most interesting part in it.

Terrific work again - the time you devoted to the drawing really paid off (good luck in the contest!).
Doesn't he have such a wonderful, irresistible face? I saw the small role he had in 'Love, Actually' again recently & thought what a good & very funny actor he is, with just simple subtleties of facial expression - you've captured that very well.
And the hands are great - the one holding the bear is positively photographic in appearance, it has an amazing quality to it, & the way it contrasts with the believable texture of the bear itself is wonderful. I really do admire the subtleties of tone & texture you're achieving in your recent work, they're most compelling drawings.

He's such a good character; a one of a kind, even though I'm not a big fan of his recent Bean movies.
Choosing him for the contest was more of a quick call because when I think too much about something I never go anywhere. And since the contest required old shows, it was easier to narrow down the choices.
Yeah, the left hand looks fine, thank god I didn't over-do it.
