Description
A fox type Technimal, his symbol one of perception. Faust is able to focus his sight over extreme distances or "zoom" on distant locations so to speak, a useful power for general exploration. In addition he is able to see and trace the functionalities of any mechanical device to deciphering it's use and how to operate it. More interested in exploration than careful research Faust enjoys trekking through uncharted planets, discovering new places of interest and finding peculiar new artefacts. The artefacts in particular fascinate him as using his powers to decipher the properties of a new device is like a puzzle for him, harder the more complex the device is with the mysterious artefacts of the Originators being near impossible for him to get a read on. But what is life without a little challenge?

Here's Faust designed as a Technimal, a biomechanical starfaring species with wonderous powers developed by the awesome Ximeon
I got enthralled by the concept of the Technimals a while ago so contacted Ximeon about creating this piece. Not only did they say yes but also revealed just how extensive the world-building behind them has been, were a great mentor on how to get it just right and are just overall the sweetest person I've met. Thank you Ximeon for letting me in on the world of Technimals.

You've done a great job with the colouring and pose and even more so with making sure all the little details are just right! Really appreciate the care you took in the creation of cute Technimal Faust heh.
You nailed the theme and design of the artefact super well too~ especially since you only had to work off of some descriptions about Originator architecture and the like.

I did end up taking a lot more time and care with this piece than normal but thanks to that I feel like I've developed a lot during it and as a result it's probably my new favourite creation.
Designing the artefact was a fun part, I don't tend to draw mysterious or enigmatic objects so it was a fun experiment. I hope to see more of them from the Technimal world later on.
Aww, with how well you've fleshed out the world and how much effort you've spent on developing it who wouldn't be interested in the world of the Technimals? Thank you again for letting me do this.

It was quite a lengthy process indeed, but for sure not a bad thing with stuff you could learn from it and experiment~ Glad you really like it yourself too!
Heh, coming up with a fitting interpretation of the design and symbols based on description can be quite fun, glad I got to see the few steps to working that little artefact out. And of course, was a good experience to do something you usually don't~
