The setting is supposed to be after the 3rd game, if I'm not wrong. while I haven't played it, I know it doesn't end well for Shepherd, except in one ending where he/she takes a breath.

Man, whenever I come across this art it always wounds me due to how badly they fumbled Mass Effect 3. Leaving so much potential on the floor and cutting so many corners to make an almost linear cinematic game out of the Mass Effect series. It just feels like they abandoned their loyal fans while making this game and left so much with a lack luster resolve that it feels like a kick of dirt to the face.
Wish they had really explored Kelly more than treating her as an after thought.

Yeah, the endings is less then good no matter what you do to put it mildly and I feel very disapointed about it.
Now getting back to the pic its very nice and I love how you captured the emotions.
But on the counter side of that... xD stop drawing stuff that makes me want to commission you even more xD

I guess so... didn't realize there was anything I could have done. When I first beat ME2 she got turned to human jelly in front of me, and it really bothered me. So I played the whole second game again just to save her... only to have her die again. -_-;

Yeah on my 1st playthough she died as well. I always balls up on my 1st playthough of everything though. In 3 I didn't even see her to talk to! I assume that means Cerberus probably got her

the only thing I replayed in ME3 was when Tali committed suicide. I was trying to find a way to save everyone... and fucked up. But apparently there IS a way to save both. I will find it another playthrough... Been meaning to do a playthrough as guy shep anyway.

It was an accident... And I immediately reset the mission and begrudgingly let Legion and all the Geth die.

Yeah, she can die 2 different ways in ME3 but both can be prevented. I'm completely convinced though that the developers are not fans of hers considering she has more possible death scenarios than any other LI. It does make it all the more sweeter though if you can keep her alive.

I never felt they treated her as a true love interest anyway. I mean, my second playthrough as fem shep, she was the only one I flirted with and all you get is a joke thing AFTER you beat the game. And it didn't carry over into the next game. When I talked to her, there was no hint of a romance. -_-

It actually does carry over, but you kinda need to make sure she lives 
Like the other ME2 romances (Garrus and Tali aside), it's not a lot but it is there.

Really? I don't know what I did wrong... She was the only one my femshep wooed in the second game and no romance dialogues showed up in 3.
If I play again, I'm going as a male shep and romancing Tali (I wanted femshep x tali, but NOoooooo)

She only has like 3 or 4 cutscenes and its really only the last one where you get the option. The other just have the typical flirty dialogue. Although 2 of the other scenes can lead to her death if you don't chose right (killed by Cerberus or suicide).
The ME2 romances like Jack, Miranda, and Kelly didn't get that much content which sucks, but on the plus side at least they don't get stranded on some random planet either.

Wow... this is a beautiful scene. Chances are Shepard would be far more damaged than this due to the power of that Harbringer beam, but nonetheless it's such a great scene ^^

Shepard would be more injured but I figured her in a body cast just wouldn't have the same emotional resonance. Plus Kelly wouldn't be able to hug her and I just couldn't stand for that, no sir!
