Toplessness for males doesn't count as "nudity" for mature content purposes does it? Hmm...The title is because...well, those three words can pretty much serve as a response to anything anyone can say about this!
"Fanart? Really?" Yeah, I know...
"Aren't you a little old to be fangirling over anime characters in this way?" Yeah, I know...
Anyway. I'm just trying desperately to get my creative juices flowing again because no matter what I try, I just can't seem to get into the swing of things. I need the practise and I need something that will hold my interest long enough to get me to actually finish it.
And I only just got around to watching "Inuyasha: The Final Act". And I liked it! Kept me happy for the couple of days I locked myself away in front of my computer and watched episodes back to back until my eyes hurt.
So fanart seemed like the next logical step. And shirtless Inuyasha seemed like a good subject for fanart. I'm gonna go ahead and say that it's because I needed the practise drawing male anatomy, which I totally suck at. And hey, there is an element of truth in that, so there! It's not perfect, there are shading and anatomy issues and the background is just...lets just not even mention that, okay?
I actually kinda like how the necklace came out though!Cartoon guys can be incredibly hot. Especially when they have a really, really big...

Even though you really need practice for anatomy, you have a good point at doing the shading. You did choose the light source before starting to color, which many artists don't do nowadays (so sad

So, a topless dude with a big "sword" ( ;D ) will hold your attention long enough to finish a drawing? Hahaha, that's an awesome way to put it! Although, looking toward the waist... Is topless the extent of it?

Yeah, big swords... I have this theory that swords and knights of all kinds are but a repressed homosexual fantaisy where the fight is a subtitute to the sexual act as the battle ground is the only place they can allow themselves to "empale" another guy...
As they say, all the best guys are either fictional or gay... or both XD

nice to have you back! Some good things to get some motivation I used when I had that kind of problem are either to start by drawing from observation, find a contest or a challenge, or plain old kicking your butt XD appetite comes from eating. Usually, if I force myself to work, I don't regret it ;3

Niiiice. The shading is amazing. His eyes are so cool, and so is the handle on his sword. How come every single time I'm juuust about to tell you how great the background is, I read that you think it sucks?!
