The goal here was to create an evolution or pre-evolution for an official Pokemon. I was thinking of turning my Skarmorday in first-off, but I feared that would be invalid because it was created before the contest was announced. I still wanted to evolve a Flying-type though, so I had to look somewhere else. The solution came to me in the form of Chatot, which, for all the trouble it's worth, has yet to evolve to or from any other Pokemon.

ROCKALOT (Rock [music] + Cockatiel + Parrot)
-Psychic/Flying
-Height: 3'6"
-Weight: 40 lbs
-Ability: Keen Eye/Technician
-Music Note Pokemon
-Evolves from CHATOT with a Lugia Feather
"One of the most intelligent of bird Pokemon, ROCKALOT is capable of perfectly copying any sound it hears, and can turn these sounds into all kinds of wonderful music. Its high status and psychic abilities give it a rank of leadership amongst flocks of CHATOT, which it willingly conducts in symphonies of euphonius harmony. The skies of a full moon will echo with many of these melodious choruses, especially in the spring, as different flocks compete to attract the largest number of consorts."

Chatot's evolution is based off a Cockatiel, a kind of large tropical parrot, although its coloration is based more off a Scarlet Macaw. It also has elements of punk rockers - I figured that since Chatot is the Music Pokemon, it would be fun to bump up the volume on the evo to the highest level. The Psychic/Flying type comes from the fact that parrots are some of the most intelligent of all birds, as mentioned in the Pokedex info. Special thanks to for the headphone idea.
Rockalot definitely WILL appear in Iron/Copper. Remember, the Kroel region, like every other region after Generation I, should allow evos and pre-evos of existing Pokemon, so a Chatot evo makes perfect sense.
