- - - -Though Tigerbelly's methods were unusual, Tigerbelly was crafty and his techniques were efficient. The tom remembered that as a young apprentice, sometimes his mentor- Squirrelclaw, would confuse him with her teachings. Squirrelclaw's methods of teaching consisted of a heavy mix of core Clan Laws, Starclan, and Honor. He was not much for Starclan, but he believed that the Clan Laws were important, and that a clan warrior should always base their actions upon honor and wisdom. Tigerbelly vowed that when he ever got an apprentice, he would teach them how to move quickly, fight efficiently, defend greatly, and think 'outside the box'.
